revamping an antique mirror

over the summer i purchased a mirror from salvage chic for $35. it had originally belonged to a bureau but no longer so i was decided it would hang on my wall. it needed a little sprucing up so i sanded and painted it.

the color i chose to paint the trim of the mirror was antique beige

and i decided to add a hint of gold for a vintage inspired look

with a little help from my dad i was able to hang it up in the perfect spot. if you're looking to hang up a heavy mirror or picture just make sure you get the appropriate hardware. all you need to check is that the hardware holds the weight you're looking to hold up. i think we chose two 50 pound hangers... which was more than enough.

another antique mirror purchased for $20
